Fri, 28 Oct 2016 17:10:27 -0400
A U.S. banking regulator said on Friday it had told Congress about what it called "a major information security incident" after a former employee was found to have downloaded a large number of files onto two thumb drives before his retirement. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said in a statement that there was no evidence to suggest that the data in the downloads had been disclosed to the public or misused in any way. Before he retired in November 2015, the former employee downloaded a large number of files onto two removable thumb drives though the incident was only detected last month during a routine security review, the OCC said in a statement.

Blow to Clinton as FBI probe revives email scandal
Fri, 28 Oct 2016 17:05:44 -0400
The FBI dealt Hillary Clinton's seemingly unstoppable White House campaign a stunning blow Friday by reviving suspicions about her use of a private email server while secretary of state. With just 11 days to go until America votes, Clinton's Republican rival Donald Trump seized triumphantly on news that the agency is investigating a newly discovered batch of emails linked to the inquiry. Clinton was on a flight when the news broke and made no mention of the FBI probe -- which had been declared complete three months earlier -- in her own campaign speech in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Clinton's lead a week ago was 4 points. The polling preceded Friday's announcement the Federal Bureau of Investigation was again investigating how Clinton managed classified information while secretary of state.

Fri, 28 Oct 2016 16:43:01 -0400
Most of the migrants left wandering the Calais "Jungle" were relocated Friday following the camp's demolition, including dozens of the youngsters whose fate has deeply concerned Britain and France. After being left to fend for themselves for two days in the deserted burnt-out shantytown, around 100 stragglers boarded buses for shelters around France as part of a government operation to shut down the notorious slum. Around 50 minors, mostly Sudanese, were taken to a centre for refugee children, with another bus of 34 older youths leaving shortly afterwards.
